Halal denotes to permissible foods and beverages and Halal is no more a new word. Today, Halal covers a wide spectrum of products and services that extended its territory beyond food and food-related products. It includes pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, health products, toiletries and medical devices as well as service sector components such as logistics, marketing, print and electronic media, packaging, branding, and financing to mention a few. Halal is also related to the whole supply chain in the economic network of ingredients and additives that address the scopes of preparation, slaughtering, cleaning, processing, handling, disinfecting, packaging, storage, transportation, distribution, and management practices. Nowadays, the world is witnessed with US$3.2 trillion worth of global Halal industry and it is also one of the fastest growing markets in the world. The global halal market growth is estimated to reach at an annual rate of 20 percent which is no longer confined only to the 2.18 billion Muslim population globally.

The International Journal of Halal Ecosystem and Management Practices (IJHEMP) is published by Global Academic Excellence (M) Sdn Bhd (GAE) with the collaboration of New Zealand Academic Trust (NZGAT) to serve academicians a platform of sharing and updating their knowledge and research outputs as well as information within the sphere of Halal ecosystem and management practices. The scope of this journal covers a multi-disciplinary and a cross disciplinary fields that include Social science, natural science, health science, F & B science, entrepreneurship, management science, marketing, and Information & Communication Technology (ICT) and the relevant topics. The publication of the journal, covering such multi-disciplinary fields, provides up-to-date and ongoing overview of Halal industry globally. Additionally, the readers of the journal have the insight of halal ecosystem and management practices in halal industry within a range of another dimension and need including halal market size, its driving factors, standards, policies and regulatory framework, ongoing issues and challenges, and prospect of global Halal industry.

IJHEMP journal invites researchers, academicians and practitioners for the submission of research articles, and book reviews, relevant fields developing and developed countries globally. All the submissions are in English and published three time a year (January, May, and September). The journal aims to publish all quality submission in time to ensure the impact of halal research quickly conveyed, examined, and disseminated worldwide. Simultaneously, it visions to become the benchmark for the research and publications in all the fields of Halal industry and promote the superior standards globally.
